A wind of change

Winter has almost come to an end, and the spring is really starting to show outside. The last week has been fantastic in terms of weather, a bit cold today, but the days before that has been really nice.

I've started to make some plans for the time ahead of us. Spring and summer is a beautiful time to go outside making pictures.

Take the shot above for example, a beautiful place called Dalsnibba in the Geiranger fjord in Norway. I'll be going back this year to try and shot some material for some high resolution panoramas. I'll post them here, probably going to Zoomify them as well. So stay tuned for that.

I'm currently building a workflow for my panorama shots. I'm not sure what software to use yet, but it looks like I'm opting for some packages that are available both on Windows and Linux. I've been testing some of them, so I'm starting to make up my mind about what software to get. I'll write about that in more detail in a later post.

The reason for this, is that I'm building a dual workflow right now, I like to be able to do my work on both platforms, I'm planning to go completely over to Linux this year. Don't get me wrong, Windows 7 looks to be a really good release, but I feel Linux is the way to go for the future.

Oh, and it looks like I'll be shooting some night-stuff some time this week, you know, star trails and such. Never done that, so that should be a new experience.
